The forecast is that it will be operational in the first quarter of 2019 and that it will complement the Museum House that the Jaraíz de la Vera City Council is finalizing.

In the coming months, the town of Trujillo in Cáceres will have a museum dedicated to the work of the painter Jaime de Jaraíz. This museum will be located in an emblematic building in the old part of Trujillo, and will be possible thanks to the collaboration of the City Council and the financial support of the Cáceres Provincial Council, which will contribute 30,000 euros to the Jaime de Jaraíz Foundation for this project.

This was announced today by the mayor of Trujillo, Alberto Casero, and the spokesman for the Foundation, Jaime de Jaraíz Lozano, who have advanced that the forecast is for it to be operational in the first quarter of 2019. The main part of the work on display will be the collection of works by Jaraíz from the family collection, although the objective is to add some emblematic painting from Extremaduran institutions.

Jaime de Jaraíz has highlighted the link that his father had with this town in Cáceres thanks to his visits as a member of the Royal Academy of Extremadura, and has explained that this museum will be the perfect complement to the House Museum that is going to be launched in the native municipality of the painter, Jaraíz de la Vera. The Trujillo musealization project will be carried out by Grupo Glow.

On behalf of the Foundation, Jaraíz wanted to thank the great institutional support that the project promoted on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the death of this painter from Extremadura, an anniversary that was celebrated last year, has achieved.

For his part, the mayor of Trujillo has stressed the importance that this museum will have within the already rich cultural offer that the town presents to all visitors.
